Karen Killoren
Karen has enjoyed more than five years keeping clients happy and decorating the building for holidays and special events.
Karen Killoren is a resident of Kyle, Texas. She grew up in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Karen is a Certified Project Manager and enjoyed a 30-year career in IT/Telecommunications. After a Breast Cancer diagnosis in 2008, she retired and started volunteering with several non-profit organizations. She used her Project Management skills to assist with putting on large fundraising events.

In 2015, two days after the flood in Wimberley, Karen stopped in at the Volunteer Resource Center and began a six month journey that included mucking out houses, dispatching groups of volunteers, and hugging muddy people. It was during this tragic event that she got to know the wonderful people of Wimberley. Among these great folks were Dixie Newnam and Robert Land. When they decided to expand their business, Karen was a nice fit for the organization and has enjoyed more than five years keeping clients happy and decorating the building for holidays and special events.

Most importantly, in 2022, she won Best Desserts in Wimberley!

When not at her desk, she enjoys time with her children, grandchildren, 2 cats, and Jagger the 90 lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback.
